What is the best way to save items to read later online?

My answer to What is the best way to save items to read later online?

Answer by Minh Park:

I’m a heavy Pocket user that saves about 15~30 articles per day. I visit Pocket’s Recommend feed first thing every morning, have Medium articles I recommend saved into Pocket, and have an email send me random buried Pocket articles.

I find that saving articles is not the problem. Pocket, Instapaper, Apple’s Reading List all do the job to similar degrees. The problem is getting through your read-it-later list. We’re saving more content than we’re consuming. Which creates a never ending pile of “Read-it-Never” content.

The best way to get save items to read later is to separate your reading list from your read list. You can use Pocket’s innate “Archive” feature to sort through your unread and finished content. Also you can apps like LINER to highlight content you finished reading and leave unread content un-highlighted.
